"Congress should be looking at ways to support economic growth, like tax and regulatory reform, rather than promoting an organization that has violated the public’s trust," Bishop said today, following his vote against reauthorizing the Ex-Im Bank.
Following his vote in opposition to H.R. 597, legislation to reauthorize the Export-Import Bank, Congressman Mike Bishop issued the following statement:
“I voted to reject the reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank because Congress should be looking at ways to support economic growth, like tax and regulatory reform, rather than promoting an organization that has violated the public’s trust. Less government involvement means more opportunity for everyone to succeed, a concept that our nation was founded on since day one.”
